Remember back in the good 'ol days of 2008 when getting solar PV production costs below a dollar a watt was a big deal? How quaint that vision seems today. This week, the amorphous silicon thin film company Oerlikon Solar announced that its new fab line could produce solar modules for below 70 cents a watt. The news sounds monumental.
